Slippery by Alandil-Lenard Slippery by Alandil-Lenard
Don't let it slip.

Is it in my eye,
Watching beauty pass by?

Or is it in my ear,
Hearing 'I love you my dear'?

Is it beneath my breast,
Pumping life through my chest?

It is in your grip,
So don't let it slip.

----

"The more you cling to a heart
and try to steady it,
the bigger the chance
that it will break free
or slip from your grip."

This is one of my ultimate favorite images on Deviant Art.

I love the focus on the (awesome) heart-shaped stone with the uncomplicated/not distracting, but interesting shape of trees in the background. It's quite visually appealing that the stone is not in the exact center of the photo. The colors are simple and pleasant, giving it a gentle drama, which is heightened by the added blood.
Also, the position of the body is perfect. A few inches moved in any direction would not have created the same effect. You see just enough without seeing too much... a bit of mystery. The gentle splay of the hand is just beautiful. The cropping also adds to the drama and I like the tilt of the camera. Icing on this well-executed cake is the emotional poem which really wraps it all together nicely.

Suffice it to say, I love everything about this piece and I cannot help but give it full stars.

starkes Bild!

Heart shaped stone and a bit drops of blood- it is very expressive and emotional, in my opinion :-)

Manual focus on a stone, then adjust my position depending on the outcome ;)
